The Oasis Club Lounge

The Oasis Club Lounge has a rich history beginning in 1887 as the home of the popular social group, the Oasis Club. The Oasis Club was known as the center of social activities for summer residents of Bar Harbor before World War I. At the time, the Lounge was the preferred gathering place in Bar Harbor for the likes of the Vanderbilts, Pulitzers, and Morgans.

The Oasis Club Lounge at the Bar Harbor Inn has served guests and dignitaries from around the world for more than a century. We invite you to join us for a relaxed drink and learn more about the rich history of our Lounge.

Today, the Oasis Club Lounge at the Bar Harbor Inn is a modern facility offering an extensive drink list and light fare menu featuring fresh, locally inspired dishes—a perfect complement to the harbor views and summer sunsets. Live piano entertainment, cozy tables and bar seating at our newly updated bar combine for a relaxing and inviting space to end a day of exploring Bar Harbor. The Oasis Club Lounge balcony offers a quiet retreat to enjoy the sun setting over Frenchman Bay while sipping a Wild Maine Blueberry Martini and indulging with a Burrata Caprese appetizer.

For guests looking to experience the scenic views and live entertainment of the Reading Room Restaurant in a more casual dining atmosphere, the Oasis Club Lounge is the perfect choice. Light fare items include our famous creamy Lobster Bisque served in a Bread Boule, our Oasis Club Burger, Margarita Pizza and Prince Edward Island Mussels.

Well over a hundred years later, the Oasis Club Lounge at the Bar Harbor Inn still is the perfect destination for drink and conversation overlooking the bay. The Lounge is located off the Reading Room Restaurant is open daily and offers happy hour from 4:00pm to 6:30pm.
